Pollen, buzz on!
~ Zoé during her transformation into Vesperia.

You may hate me, but I love you, and I always will, even if the whole world hates you, sister.
~ Zoé

Marinette, I've been wanting to tell you how I feel since the day I met you, but since you're madly in love with Adrien, I thought it would be pointless and ruin things between us. But look, I just told you, and I can see it doesn't change anything.
~ Zoé to Marinette after declaring her love and her feelings for her.

Zoé Lee, known as Vesperia is a major character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. In season 4, she receives the Bee Miraculous from Ladybug, which, when inhabited by Pollen, can transform her into Vesperia, a bee-themed superhero, succeeded her half-sister, Chloé Bourgeois, who was the former Bee Miraculous holder until she betrayed the French Miraculous superhero team by teaming up with Hawk Moth and Mayura.

She is voiced by Deneen Melody.

Appearance

Physical appearance

Zoé has blonde hair with hot-pink bangs on the left side, vivid azure eyes (similar to Marinette's) and light scarlet lips. She also has small freckles. In "Sole Crusher", Zoé's hair strand was originally undyed but she dyes it hot pink later in the episode by Rose and Juleka.

Civilian attire

She wears a black leather jacket, a white top with a pink, cyan and yellow honeycomb flower on the front, and yellow pants. On her feet, her shoes have white shoelaces, toe caps, and soles. The sides of her shoes are decorated with blue, lime-green, and pink heart patterns with black outlines. There's a moderate apple green crown on the left side of her left shoe and a white skull on the left side of her right shoe. The midsole of the shoes seem to be decorated with different drawings that appeared to be drawn with a black permanent marker. The left shoe has a red heart drawn on the toe cap that reads "I ❤️ U". At the end of "Sole Crusher", her shoes get more drawings from her new friends. She also wears a black bracelet on her left wrist and a luminous vivid opal-colored beanie on her head.

As Vesperia

As Vesperia, she wears a yellow and black, bee-themed skintight jumpsuit. The upper part of the suit is black with yellow stripes with yellow forearms and hands with black fingers. She has a zipper at the front with a triangular yellow and black slider, making it look like she is wearing a jacket. The lower part of the suit is yellow with black stripes. She wears black boots with a yellow stripe at the collar, tongue and toecap and a black mask with yellow around her eyes. Her hair becomes braided with a black streak and her bangs are of equal length and black highlights. The Bee Miraculous is located right above of the base of her braid. She also has a black hair tie, similar to Chloé's as Queen Bee. The spinning top, her weapon, when not in use, is around her hips and is black with yellow stripes.

As Kitty Noire

Kitty Noire has hair similar to Cat Noir's but longer so it covered her human ears and yet wild and untamed with bottom half covered in light green highlights. She has cat eyes with yellow sclerae, dark orange irises, and slitted pupils and lips covered in a yellow-green lipstick and black cat ears on top of her head.

She was wearing a black compression shirt topped with a swan-necked cropped black jacket that ended around her mid-chest area with 3/4 length sleeves. The jacket had green zippers around the shoulders and at the edges of the sleeves, and closed with two silver buttons on the front. On her lower body, she wore high-waisted capri pants with the same fabric as her jacket, with a golden button and green front pockets. She also wore green suspenders that went under her jacket and connected to the waistband of her pants, and a long, black ribbon on her lower back that ended around her ankles, simulating a cat's tail. On her feet, she wore green socks and black sneakers with a green sole and stripe on the back, and black cat-paws prints on the undersoles.

Kitty Noire also had black biker gloves on both of her hands, and sharp, black claw-like nails on her fingers. The jacket, the pants, and the gloves had a similar puple sheen to the fabric, and a leather-like texture. Her Miraculous sat on the ring finger of her right hand, and her weapon, the staff, was now black (as opposed to Cat Noir's and Lady Noire's, which were both silver), and rests retracted on her lower back when not in use.

As Sole Crusher

As Sole Crusher, Zoé was a hybrid form of her older half-sister Chloé Bourgeois, having her physical look (like face and hairstyle), and her mother's form as Style Queen. Her hair, eyes, skin and clothes (which were the same as Chloé's) were sparkly brilliant amber with encrusted very light cyan-colored jewels with a large one on her forehead with medium sized ones on top of her eyebrows and tiny ones on her head, while there were five more on the chest that gradually enlarged towards the chest, the rest of the jewels circling her limbs and waist entirely as well as at the back of her flats. Her headdress-like accessory featured multiple lightning-shaped horns, matched by her jacket collar, the back of her shoulders, and flats that had similar ornaments. She also wears diamond earrings on her ears.

As Fury

Fury wears a black full body jumpsuit. There is lighter padding across her suit, which consists of two thick downward points on her chest, accented by the padding on her shoulders and down her limbs, which give a similar, but not identical look to her outfit as Vesperia. Her feet also have inward points at the back of the sole. There are padded lines running down the sides of her stomach down to the leg.

Fury also has a black hood with lighter padding that wraps around upwardly at the sides and conceals her Miraculous, along with a black mask that covers her entire face with black spikes that resemble the teeth on a wasp. The upper half of it is specifically lighter, with downward padding on top and sides framing her eyes, and a point in the middle of her nose. The lower half is darker and accents this.

On top are black appendages resembling the antennae of a wasp. Her eyes become a light, piercing bright yellow with pitch black pupils. Her stinger appears to be black and rounder in design.

Personality

Zoé is a sweet girl and she can be very caring to everyone that crosses her way, being even able to make friends with someone she has just met, like Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She is also very forgiving, showing this in "Sole Crusher", after Marinette trips and falls on her. Zoé is also very generous, as she gave to the taxi driver that took her to Le Grand Paris the baking goods that Marinette gave her, after hearing from her how her children love them. She is also shown to be creative, shown to dye her hair and customize her own shoes.

Her greatest dream is to become an actress, and she is very skilled at doing so. However, because she was constantly acting a role, much like Lila Rossi and her lies, Zoé ended up concealing her true self and, when she was not able to do it anymore, she ended up having no friends back in New York. After moving to Paris to live with her maternal family, she pretends to be like her mother and half-sister in order to please them and be accepted by them. She also wants to fit in, which is why she is always acting. After being deakumatized, she learned that the way she was acting was wrong, and decided to finally stop hiding her true self.

In "Queen Banana", at first she was hesitant in taking the Bee Miraculous knowing how Chloé would react but Ladybug reassures that she'll keep her identity a secret.

As Vesperia, most of Zoé's personality remains the same and she's proven to be very clever using her acting skills that led to her sister's downfall. She can also act in a flashy way, similar to Queen Bee, but always showing a much humbler side. According to Plagg, she is more refined, sweeter and nicer than Chloé. She had to have it because Chloé had revealed her identity.

As Kitty Noire, she was shown to be rather competent and skillful when using her powers (despite the initial struggle when using her staff). She was able to take the right initiative like using her Cataclysm to get access to the villain's akumatized object, failing only because of unexpected events (like the use of Resistance). Kitty Noire was also able to cooperate very well with others, even when she had just met them, as she was able to make great teamwork with Scarabella moments after they had just met each other, with the two of them quickly coming up with a plan together to defeat a villain and execute it perfectly. Similar to Cat Noir, she had a little of a flirtatious side.

As Sole Crusher, she was much more confident and refused to let others boss her around, However, she was still willing to please Chloé as she initially considered crushing Kitty Section just to be like her but ultimately decided against it. Despite her villainous nature, Sole Crusher still cares for Marinette, this is shown when she carries her around in her hand rather than absorbing her because she remembered her kindness when they first met, and was almost willing to stand down when the latter tried to reason with her. She was also shown to not be willing to harm Marinette or her friends when Chloé tried to convince her to attack Kitty Section, and her hesitance and reluctance to do so caused Chloé to threaten her. Even while akumatized, she maintained her calmness and patience as shown when she allowed Marinette to continue explaining reality to her. Even after continuing her rampage, she opts to continue targeting Chloé instead of Marinette's friends.

As Fury, she carries out vigilante work towards the regular people who are abusive towards others. She makes a fast and eficient work, immobilizing her targets using Venom and using her super-speed to put them in humiliating and/or dangerous situations that serve as punishment for their misdeeds. She also tries to be as discrete as possible, knowing full well that, if the other Miraculers suspect she is a Bee Miraculous holder, her identity will be uncovered by Ladybug (the only person to know who she is) who will demand her Miraculous back.

History

Season 4

In "Sole Crusher" Zoé visits Paris to stay with her maternal family and be accepted by them and be a Bourgeois. Later she got akumatized into Sole Crusher.

In "Queen Banana", Ladybug gives the Bee Miraculous to Zoé to help defeat her half-sister, Chloé who has been transformed by Shadow Moth into Queen Banana. She meet Pollen, the bee kwami, and transforms into Vesperia for the first time, using her power to stop Chloé so that she can be de-akumatized.

Season 5

In "Jubilation", Vesperia is among the superheroes attending Ladybug and Cat Noir's wedding in the dream caused by Gift when they are fighting Darker Owl in reality.

In "Determination", to try and help restore morale to Paris because of losing Vesperia and the other heroes, Grevin Museum curator Veronique has a wax figurine of Vesperia made, alongside those of the rest of the team, in hopes of helping to boost hope. When Mayor Bourgeois, under Chloé's influence again, refuses to let the figures be displayed, due to Chloé's own anger at how Queen Bee is not going to be part of the exhibit and Vesperia will be, Veronique is akumatized by Monarch into Manipula, bringing the wax figures of Vesperia and the others to life to try and make Manipula look like a hero by bringing the team back. The Vesperia wax figure is later defeated alongside the Rena Rouge wax figure by Ladybug and Cat Noir, and once Manipula is defeated, the figures are restored to the museum unharmed and inanimate again by Miraculous Ladybug, and Ladybug convinces Mayor Bourgeois to open the exhibit after all, much to Chloé's anger and frustration at not getting her way again.

In "Transmission", she got the Cat Miraculous after Plagg decided to take a break from Adrien in order for him to pursue a relationship with Marinette and became the Cat-themed superhero known as Kitty Noire, joining forces with Alya Cesaire, who became Scarabella after being entrusted with the Ladybug Miraculous and Tikki so Marinette could take some time off from being Ladybug to pursue the relationship with Adrien.

In the season finale, "The Final Day", Zoé is part of the Resistance as they fight against the Miraculized as part of Monarch's Operation Perfect Alliance, joined by Grandmaster Su-Han and the Guardians, the United Heroez, and Ladydragon, but it is a losing fight as the Miraculized keep coming. It is only, as shown in "Miraculous London", when Ladybug uses her Miraculous Ladybug to undo all the damage, that Zoé and everyone else are saved as the Miraculized are returned to normal. She later learns that Gabriel Agreste sacrificed himself to end the threat of Monarch for good. After Marinette restores the Miraculous to their original forms, she entrusts Pollen to Zoé permanently, allowing Zoé to become Vesperia again and join the rest of the restored French Miraculous superhero team to prepare for whatever threats come from the new Hawk Moth in Lila Rossi/Cerise Bianca.

Season 6

In "Daddycop", Zoé, along with Mylène, Rose, Juleka, Kagami, and Alya, are preparing for their weekly girls movie night at Marinette's, but Marinette had planned to celebrate her 100th kiss with Adrien that same night. When they notice Sabrina and how she had been alone since Chloé was exiled from Paris, they decide to invite her, through Zoé, to the movie night. Unfortunately, Marinette assumed they were okay with her inviting Adrien so she could still have her dinner date with him, and when Sabrina is heartbroken after Marinette told her the truth, when they learn of it, fearing for Sabrina's well-being, they rush to help and comfort her, but are confronted by her father, Lt. Roger Raincomprix, akumatized into Daddycop by Chrysalis. Zoé is among the first victims of Daddycop to be brainwashed into becoming a zombie who loves Sabrina and attempt to chase her down to comfort her, but later, thanks to a group effort by Ladybug, Cat Noir, Pegasus, and Miss Hound, Zoé and the other victims are returned to normal, stunned and confused by what happened. Later, back at Marinette's, Sabrina apologizes for her sins when she was helping Chloé and hopes for a fresh start with the other female members of French Miraculous superhero team. Zoé and the other girls reassure her that Chloé is nothing but a bad memory for all of them now and Sabrina has a chance to truly be herself now and not be in the shadow of someone like Chloé anymore, giving Sabrina a group hug to show they are there to help her now. Later, Sabrina appears at school sporting a new appearance now that she can just be herself, and Zoe and the other members of French Miraculous superhero team offer positive reactions to it.

However, later on, Zoé is confronted by an old classmate from NYC, named Ray, who shows her a video on his cellphone of her from when she was a bully back in New York and calls her by her nickname, "Cockroach". Zoé deletes it, but Ray warns her that she can't run from her past forever as, sooner or later, it will catch up with her, as he walks away laughing wickedly as Zoé glares after him, knowing he's right.

At the start of "Revelator", Vesperia is with the rest of the team as, under Cat Noir and Ladybug's guidance, they attempt to unlock their adult Miraculous powers through sheer willpower. While some fail and need to recharge their Kwamis and transform again before resuming, everyone manages to successfully unlock their adult Miraculous powers and enable their ability to stay transformed indefinitely before manually reverting back by saying their power down catchphrase. To celebrate their accomplishment, Ladybug dubs the team, "The Miraculers", which they all agree on.

In "Grendiaper", Zoé is still living with André, but he has moved into the apartment above the Le Sorbonne movie theater and renovated it since moving in. There is no word on if he still owns the Le Grand Paris hotel and his residence there after he resigned as Mayor of Paris and exiled Audrey and Chloé from Paris. After Zoé gets ready for school with Pollen's support, she finds André hesitant to open up the theater due to concerns no one will enjoy the movies he'll be showing there, but with Zoé's support, he agrees to unlock the doors and open up the theater, before seeing her off as she leaves for school. When she arrives and meets up with her classmates, including Marinette and Adrien, Kim soon pulls her away to introduce her to Raymond Pugnant, who she recognizes as an old enemy from New York City.

As time goes on, Zoé soon joins several of the Miraculers, including Marinette and Adrien, when they find Sabrina downcast after seeing a video Chloé posted on the Zoo app regarding Sabrina's new look, calling it "Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous." They quickly rally behind Sabrina and post their own videos supporting her to tell Chloé off, while Zoe herself voices her contempt to know that Chloé is her sister and wants to "put a padlock on her mouth!" After Ray and his two goons, Loic and Nelson, decide to litter and not care about cleaning up after themselves, Zoé becomes even more upset. However, when Ray and his goons cause problems around school, especially one incident regarding Marinette and Adrien, Zoé decides to squeal on them to Principal Damocles. Although he reprimands them and is about to punish them, Ray had called in his father, and Mr. Pugnant gets the three boys off the hook. Seeing this leaves Zoé deeply upset over this injustice, but a pep talk from Marinette cheers her up for the time being.

However, as Zoé and Sabrina take the tram home, Zoé sees several more injustices take place: A young boy named Sam causes a baby to cry by playing his music too loudly and taking a selfie of his cruel act, forcing Zoé and Sabrina to move the mother to another seat away from Sam. After Sabrina gets off, the tram driver doesn't wait for a man helping a boy in his wheelchair catch the tram and drives off, ignoring Zoé's pleas to stop for them. Then, Zoé sees Bob Roth having rented a street all to himself, and refuses to let an old lady get into her apartment building out of pettiness at not wanting to lose money on his latest investment if he pauses to let her get in. When Zoé returns to Le Sorbonne, André is being intimidated by three thugs who want their money back after enduring watching a musical, which they hate. Ducking into another room, Zoé has Pollen transform her, but her appearance is not that of Vesperia, but of something entirely different: She's dressed fully in black, her mouth and nose are covered by a mask, and only her glowing yellow eyes are visible. Before she can take any action, she sees André convince the thugs to leave peacefully, and transforms back. Later, she decides to contact Marinette via the Bee Miraculous.

When Zoé and Marinette meet up as Vesperia and Ladybug, Vesperia voices her concern about injustice to Ladybug. Although Ladybug tries to offer her some valuable advice, it appears to do little to cheer up Vesperia before Ladybug takes her leave. As a result, calling her new identity she was given by Pollen earlier the name "Fury", Vesperia decides to deliver her own vigilante justice against everyone who had been rude, disrespectful, and outright a jerk that she saw that day. She takes Ray, Loic, and Nelson out of their speedboat they had hijacked and were outrunning Lt. Roger Raincompix and his patrol boat in and places them on a roller coaster to be tormented by the high-speed ride, traps Bob Roth at the top of the Eiffel Tower, traps the thugs that intimidated André in the theater to watch a musical, much to their distress, and also punishes the tram driver when he doesn't stop to drop off Max and Markov at their stop, instead driving back to the depot so he can clock out and go home for the night, leaving Max and Markov stranded. However, her actions against the tram driver draw the attention of Max and Markov, who contact Marinette through the Horse Miraculous before transforming into Pegasus. After Ladybug and Cat Noir help Pegasus, Ladybug gets more alerts through the Miraculous Call from Carapace, Rena Rouge, and Miss Hound through the Turtle, Fox, and Dog Miraculous respectively. After they help Rena and Miss Hound with rescuing Ray and his goons, along with anyone else, they soon find more trouble from Paris being attacked by an Akumatized supervillain, Grendiaper.

They soon discover that Grendiaper is Sam, the boy who had been a jerk to a mother and her baby on the tram earlier that Zoé and Sabrina rode on. Fury had punished him for his disrespectful behavior against babies, especially his own new baby sister by cutting up her diapers, by dressing him up as a baby and humiliating him on the Zoo app, leaving him so upset and enraged, he was an easy mark for Chrysalis to akumatized with one of her Ultrakumas. After Ladybug figures out that Sam is piloting Grendiaper from somewhere in the robot's head, she calls Vesperia for additional help. Thanks to Rena distracting Sam with a Mirage illusion of Fury, Vesperia hits Grendiaper with Venom, allowing Cat Noir to Cataclysm open the head, exposing Sam. Ladybug ties him up with her yo-yo, while Cat Noir destroys the console to free the Ultrakuma for Ladybug to catch and purify before repairing the damage with Miraculous Ladybug. As she gives Sam a Magical Charm and words of advice, he seems unwilling to take them to heart. It takes Cat Noir giving him a stern scolding that gets Sam to see sense and agree to change his ways for the better. Vesperia's attempts to help result in Ladybug chastising her for how vigilante justice is no justice at all as her actions created more problems than fixing them. The Miraculers now suspect that Fury could be an accomplice to the new Butterfly Miraculous holder or the new holder themselves, before taking their leave, leaving Vesperia alone and feeling guilty and remorseful for her actions as Fury.

When Zoé returns home to Le Sorbonne later, the thugs from before are back to intimidate André again, but this time, he brought help in the form of Alya's sister, Nora Cesaire, who uses a threat of using her kickboxing moves on the thugs to get them to back off, terrified of facing her wrath. Returning to her room, Zoé and Pollen see Ray and one of his lackeys insulting the garbage man as he is blocking their way, but before they can try to intervene again, Roger arrives and tells Ray and his lackey off so the garbage man can continue his duty uninterrupted, satisifying Zoé that justice can prevail and she doesn't need to be a vigilante to make it happen herself.
