Before becoming The Delightful Children From Down The Lane, Bruce, David, Alessandra, Constance and Lenny formerly known as the Sector Z, were the formerly overarching protagonists turned secondary antagonists of the Cartoon Network series Codename: Kids Next Door, as well the overarching protagonists of it's film special Operation: Z.E.R.O.
They were a team of Kids Next Door operatives who later became the Delightful Children From Down The Lane due to a freak accident in the Delightfulization Chamber, making the effects permanent but increasing it eleventy-billion fold.
They were voiced by Benjamin Diskin (Bruce and David), Dee Bradley Baker (Lenny), and Cree Summer (Alessandra and Constance).
Phusical appearences
The Sector Z wear heavily-clothed military and samurai fatigues with the letter 'Z' on their hats. Unlike their delightful selves' white and blue clothing, Sector Z's has some gray/black and red/green features to show their brave nature.
Personalities
Because Sector Z has been considered lost for many years now, and the Delightful Children never seem to age, it is reasonable to assume that they may have achieved life-long youth, through their unique Delightfulization. This is rather ironic, considering that the Delightful Children's main ambition is to grow up.
History
Past
The Delightful Children are none other than the operatives of the legendary "lost sector" of the KND, Sector Z. They were a group of Kids Next Door members who worked with Numbuh Zero to take down Grandfather. Some unknown time later, Father captured them and put them into a Delightfulization chamber. It blew a fuse, increasing it's power by "elevendy-billion"-fold, causing the machine to be destroyed. However; it ended up making Sector Z into five "Perfect Delightful Children", permanently inflicted with the machine's Delightfulization effects.
Operation: Z.E.R.O.
After structuring a plan to defeat Grandfather, Numbuh 1 and Sector Z depart to KND Moonbase. While Numbuh 0 and Father distract Grandfather and give their kids time to conduct the plan into effect. As Nigel Uno arrives on the bridge, he is attacked by his former teammates from Sector V; Numbuh 2, Numbuh 3, Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 5 as Senior Citi-Zombies. Nigel Uno between his mixed feelings doesn't fight but help then arrives as Sector Z comes to Nigel's aid.
As Sector Z fight the former members of Sector V, Numbuh 1 sets the plan into action, but another problem arises. Sector Z may have disabled Numbuhs 2, 3, 4, and 5. However, the temporarily effects of recommission wear off and Sector Z reverts back to the Delightful Children From Down the Lane but not without telling him to tell that they'll miss KND.
After this encounter, the members of Sector Z are only seen as the Delightful Children. By the end of the film, Numbuh 1 is the only one who knew of their previous lives, and no attempts are made to revert Sector Z to their original state for reasons unknown.
Powers and abilities
- Expert Combatants: Despite their usage of robots and having other villains doing their dirty work, the Delightful Children seems to possess physical prowess seen in Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y. where they taken down the elves and subdued Santa Claus while disguised as Sector V (framing them in doing so) with only tranquilizing weapons. This makes sense since they used to be Sector Z of KND before becoming what they are now. They even shoved Numbuh 1 causing the machine controlling the moonbase to break in Operation: Z.E.R.O..

Trivia
- They have moments of stupidity:
- Despite Father telling them in Operation Z.E.R.O. to work with Numbuh One to stop Grandfather, they disobey him and ignore the task chosing to vahimently destroy numbuh 1 at any cost, even if its endangering both kids, teens and adults.
- Not thinking the KND would treat Lenny as a mole the whole time and have the bomb instead of the real prize.
- The way Father managed to force Sector Z into the delightfulization chamber is said to have involved gorillas with lasers.
- Bruce, David, Constance, Alessandra and Lenny's names were confirmed through various means:
- "Bruce" was confirmed by Tom Warburton on his blog
- "David" was stated by Numbuh 1 in Operation: Z.E.R.O.
- "Lenny" was said several times in Operation: U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R.
- "Constance" was confirmed on the Rainbow Monkey Website by submitting "Numbuh 0.5"
- "Alessandra" was confirmed on old concept art from Operation: Z.E.R.O.
- Their previous names were believed to be "Ogie" (short girl with glasses), "Ashley" (tall blond girl), and Rick (short blond boy). There seems to be no previous name fanoned for David until being properly named in the movie.
- Sector Z's codenames originally started out as fanon. They originally didn't have codenames on their production art, instead listing them by name. They seemingly originated from an edit on this wiki from 2008. They were removed in 2010 for being fanon, but were added back to the page shortly after, and stayed since. These fanon codenames were later used by Warburton for the Rainbow Monkey Website, retroactively making those codenames technically canon. The true origin of Sector Z's codenames are still unknown.
